Industry group calls for billions in recycling investment

The Recycling Partnership says $17 billion in funding for the domestic residential recycling sector could increase the national recycling rate to nearly 70%.

EPA Expands COVID-19 Disinfectant List

WASHINGTON, D.C. (EPA) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is releasing an expanded list of EPA-registered disinfectant products that have qualified for use against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

The list contains nearly 200 additional products—including 40 new products that went through the agency’s expedited review process. The agency also made key enhancements to the web-based list to improve its usefulness. Read more

rePlanet closes all recycling centers, prompting a call for bottle, can redemption at stores

California’s largest chain of recycling centers closed its remaining 284 locations this week, and Consumer Watchdog wants grocery and convenience stores to pick up the slack.
