The California Toxic-Free Cosmetics Act, A.B. 2762, passed out of the State Assembly Committee on Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials. It would ban 12 chemicals from cosmetics, including formaldehyde, mercury, PFAS, long-chain parabens and phthalates and was introduced in February 2020. Read more
